I’ve spent all of my adult lifetime being a keen observer of how people choose, consume and assimilate the information around them. I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time to watch the internet grow into a worldwide force that has transformed the way information is delivered.
Social media like Twitter and Facebook are just the beginning. We’re seeing the first steps into a new paradigm for publishing and for how consumer goods and services are delivered. I can show you how to better connect with your existing and potential clients, customers and subscribers.

Here’s a little about me:
From Dec. 2008 through March 2010, I was managing editor of Latin Trade magazine. I’ve worked a lot as a journalist covering Latin America.
First, as an editor and research director for LatinFinance Magazine and its Latin Capital Markets Weekly newsletter. Years later I returned to the region and worked as executive editor for LatinCEO Magazine, in Miami.
Miami is my home and my first love.
I’ve been involved in this community for many years. I give back through my involvement as a board member for Kristi House, which serves battered or abused children. I’m also a supporter of the Voices For Children Foundation, where I was a board member and chairman of its communications committee. I’m an active supporter of the Coral Gables and Greater Miami chambers of commerce and other regional and international business development organizations here.
Before joining Latin Trade, I ran a media consultancy, WPA Media Group, that focused on new publishing and Internet ventures, capital raising, M&A, new product development and communications. My dream is to one day launch a New York Magazine-style publication for South Florida.
I was also, for many years, editor and publisher of SouthFloridaCEO, which was the leading monthly business magazine in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
I’m an accomplished freelance writer, copy writer and new media consultant. My clients have included: Hispanic Magazine, the Daily Business Review, Pitney Bowes, Miami Dade College and the University of Miami.
I’m a technology fanatic.
That came in handy when I was managing editor for the Miami office of Internet.com and was one of the pioneers behind Bankrate.com.
I cut my teeth as a staff reporter for the national trade newspaper American Banker, in New York.
I’m also blessed to have studied political science and Latin American studies at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida, and language studies at the Instituto Brasil-Estados Unidos, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Some personal details:
I’m Cuban-American and I speak Spanish as well as Portuguese. I’ve traveled the world but haven’t seen enough of it to satisfy me. I’m a former Boy Scout. I love Twitter. Music is like oxygen to me. And I’m a politics junkie.
